About

I’m a lifelong professional musician, producer, and certified K–12 music educator with 30+ years of experience across live performance, recording, composition, and media production. A true multi-instrumentalist, I specialize in percussion, strings, keyboards, and vocals, with the ability to adapt authentically to any genre with any instrument.

I’ve performed professionally since age 11 and shared stages with Overkill, The Suicide Machines, The Gories, Grand Funk Railroad, Dave Brubeck, The Jon Spencer Blues Explosion, Starcrawler, Andy Narell, and more.

In the studio, I’ve worked with Steve Albini and spent decades recording, engineering, and producing, from analog tape to modern DAWs including Logic Pro X, Pro Tools, and Ableton Live.

Currently accepting select projects and students throughout the Tri-County Michigan area, as well as remote session work.

Selected projects I’ve produced, recorded, engineered, mixed, mastered, or performed on.

The drum recordings below feature different kits and cymbals on each session to demonstrate style, versatility, and recording technique. Drums are recorded directly through a Fender 4212 mixing console preamping mics and EQ, then processed through rackmount compressors, limiters, and analog warmth processors. Reverb is created using a custom homemade plate reverb during mixing. Kits include Yamaha Maple Custom TMP2F4, Gretch Catalina Club and 1960's Starlite. Gear lists upon request for recording and session work.

I’ve been doing this a long time. Over 30 years behind the board working on everything from punk and hip-hop to jazz and full-band records.

My job isn’t just to hit record. It’s to help you take what’s in your head and turn it into something that actually feels finished, intentional, and ready to live out in the world.

Whether we’re tracking a live band, dialing in a vocal, or building something layer by layer, the goal is always the same: make the song hit the way it’s supposed to.
